The State Government has decided to start statewide programme "একটি গাছ মায়ের নামে" with celebration of World Environment Day on 05th June 2026 and continue till 31st March 2027 in alignment with ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’, which was launched by the Honourable Prime Minister on 05th June 2024, giving respect to all Mothers and Mother Earth.
Vision
To create a greener, healthier, and climate-resilient West Bengal by fostering a people's movement for tree plantation and environmental stewardship, honouring mothers and Mother Earth while securing a sustainable future for generations to come.
Mission
To mobilize communities across West Bengal to plant, protect, and monitor 1.10 crore saplings, strengthening green cover, environmental awareness, and climate resilience through collective action and sustainable stewardship.
